So Peyton had his 4 month check up today with the pediatrician and everything is good!! yippee! He was showing her all of his tricks.....talking, pulling hair, pulling on he stethescope, making his motorboat, and kick! kick! kicking! hahah! She was impressed probably b/c all the previous visits have simply been him crying haha! (We have to wait for awhile once we get there...peyton is kind of selfish now a days....HA)
So here's the results
Weight: 16 #, 2 oz 75th % (up 4#, 3oz from his 2 mo visit)
Height: 25.5 in, 73% (up 2 in from his 2 mo)
Head: 16.75 in, 36% (uh-oh) (up 1.25 in from his 2 mo)
All in all he is wonderful! She said ahead of the game with head control and alertness.
He does do really good on his tummy (when he wants to....if he doesn't want to he'll just lay there :) ) Today when the ARNP put his on his belly to see his skillz he was really pushing to roll over.....prone to supine is coming. He usually gets to his side and quits.....that's far and fine enough for him.
We definitely have an independent baby on our hands....he's not going to do anything until he wants to......and that's JUST fine with us!
Alot of people had me worried with comments like "man! he eats SO much" but we were told by the doc to even feed him more than what we are.....big boy bottles here we go! She gave the okay for rice/cereal.....said 5 months is better, 6 months for any other solids.....I'm not pushing anything. This kiddo is content with the bottle and getting everything in and keeping it....sleeping still from 8pm to 730am so I'm good. We'll see when 5 months comes along - that's usually the need for more! more! more! (I'm told)
Oh well....that's all for today's visit! Daddy got to come this time which I was grateful for. Peyton didn't take his usual snooze from 8a-1030a or anything that resembled a nap so I thought we were in for it.....he was great! up until the shots :( very beat red face and cried until mommy picked him up and he was over it. Not too bad I'd say.
We celebrated by going swimming...........
